Jesus wasn’t one to keep the honest seekers in the dark about his true identity. To others he remained veiled in his proclamation of who he was, but to the woman at the well of John 4 and seekers like Nicodemus in John 3 Jesus didn’t hold back.
Jesus knew the Samaritan woman (John 4) was looking for answers that she wasn’t getting from the regular channels in her life. Jesus broke the silence of the heavens in her life as he sat with her at Jacob’s Well. Jesus did it then and he still does that today, he breaks the silence and says “I who speak to you am he.” (John 4:26)
Acts 4:12 says “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
